Driver killed in car that caught fire after hitting two other vehicles, Fort Worth police say

A person was killed Saturday in a car that caught fire after colliding into two vehicles, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department.

At around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a gas station at 2526 Southwest Loop 820 about a fire.

It is believed a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided into two other vehicles in the parking lot of the gas station, according to police.

The occupant of the vehicle that crashed was trapped inside when the car turned over and caught fire, police said.

The driver was declared dead at the scene.

The Traffic Investigations Unit was notified. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
