After more than 160,000 votes in the final round, we have a winner in our Readers’ Choice poll for favorite bar in the Fort Worth area.

Cooter Brown’s in Burleson wins the poll with 71,324 votes. It was a close race with Dr. Jeckyll’s Beer Lab in Pantego coming in second with 68,954 votes. The other top five finalists were 4 Kahunas Tiki Lounge in Arlington, Down ‘N Out in Fort Worth’s Near Southside, and Tulane’s in Fort Worth’s Foundry District.

Congratulations to our winner and four finalists.

Below are the other bars that were nominated by our readers as their favorites. We did six rounds of voting to narrow the list down to the final vote, which ended Saturday. In all, we counted more than 420,000 votes in our unscientific poll, which aims to highlight our readers’ favorite local businesses.

Every one of these Tarrant County bars is worth checking out for fabulous cocktails, a friendly environment or simply a good time. Thank you to all our readers who voted!
