More than 400 homes proposed for this 130-acre pasture in south Fort Worth
Over 130 acres of pastureland on the south side of Fort Worth could give way to new homes if the City Council approves the zoning for a proposed development.
Arlington-based TTP Partnership is asking the council to rezone land to build 357 single-family homes and 54 town homes, while setting aside 11 acres for commercial uses. The site, 10181 Forest Hill Everman Road, is just south of Everman Parkway, about two miles east of Interstate 35W. It’s surrounded by pastures, Everman High School, and a pair of new subdivisions to the north and south.
The specifics of what these homes will look like is unknown. Ron Ramirez, who’s representing the developer in the city’s zoning process, told the zoning commission in July that the property owners plan to partner with a builder who will flesh out those details.
The town homes will be four stories, according to plans submitted to the city.
The developer also intends to build roads on the property that will eventually connect to Risinger Road to the west and Wichita Road to the north.
The council will vote on the rezoning at its 10 a.m. meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 22.
