Bicyclist critically injured in accident with tractor-trailer, Fort Worth police say
A bicyclist was critically injured after being struck by a tractor-trailer Friday morning in Fort Worth’s Far Northwest neighborhood, police said.
Officers were dispatched to the 13000 block of Saginaw Boulevard shortly before 5 a.m. regarding a major accident, police said. The victim, a man, had been riding a bike in a public roadway when he was hit by the tractor-trailer.
The bicycle rider suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, officials said. Traffic Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the accident.
It’s not clear if the truck driver will face charges in connection with the crash.
