Garbage pick up happens once a week, Monday through Friday, in Fort Worth.

What about the days when there’s a holiday?

While there are several holidays observed by the city of Fort Worth throughout the year, not all of them require a service schedule change.

Here are the holidays when trash pick up will change in Fort Worth this year.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving, which is on Nov. 23, will see a trash pick up change on Thursday and Friday.

If your pick up time is on Thursday, trash collection will be moved to Friday, Nov. 24. For residents with trash pick up scheduled on Fridays, collection time will move to Saturday, Nov. 25.

Christmas

This year Christmas, Dec. 25, is on a Monday which will set trash pick up back a day all week.

Monday collection will move to Tuesday, Tuesday pick up will move to Wednesday and so forth. The week will end with Friday collection moving to Saturday.
