Bicyclist hit by car dies in Fort Worth hospital

A 29-year-old bicyclist who was hit by a car in a residential neighborhood Monday died at John Peter Smith Hospital Tuesday.

Ricky Ziegler, 29, was pronounced dead at 10:37 a.m. Tuesday, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office reported. The cause of his death was not listed.

Fort Worth police said Ziegler rode his bicycle through a stop sign and was struck by a car in the 2600 block of Putnam St. near Meadowbrook Drive and East Loop 820.
