Cheapest gasoline sold in Fort Worth today is 7 cents lower than national average
Cheapest prices of a gallon of gasoline in Fort Worth have stayed well under $3 even as the national average rose to $3.39, that’s up 30.2 cents per gallon from a month ago and 7.3 cents higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data.
Crude oil released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve have wrapped up, and demand has stayed strong in China even as new COVID cases surged in the Asian country, according to Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
“Concerns are increasing that without additional oil, supply will tighten in the weeks ahead, especially as the nation starts to move away from softer demand in the height of winter. Moving forward, it doesn’t look good for motorists, with prices likely to continue accelerating,” De Haan said.
