This ‘Yellowstone’ actor loves Fort Worth stock show, selling his art to adoring fans
“Yellowstone” actor Buck Taylor is selling original painting’s and prints at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.
The 84-year-old actor, who plays “Emmett Walsh” on the hit Paramount Network drama, is an artist on and off camera. Taylor’s booth is set up in the northeast corner of the Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall.
All the prints available at his booth are original works painted by him. The paintings harken back to Taylor’s past movies, including one of Val Kilmer as “Doc Holiday” and several others set in the world of “Tombstone”.
Taylor, who also had roles in “Cowboys & Aliens” and “Hell or High Water,” has attended the Fort Worth show since 1991. Every year the same thing keeps bringing him back.
“The people,” Taylor said. “There’s good people here.”
Taylor will be in his booth every day of the 23-day stock show and rodeo.
Fans of his acting work have dropped by, and, he said, he is anticipating many more. Which works out, because Taylor is happy to talk, sign autographs and take pictures with anyone who happens to stop by.
Taylor might call California home but Fort Worth is always in his heart, he said. The actor said he makes it to Cowtown when he can, joining many of the “Yellowstone” cast at the show’s season 5 premiere in the Stockyards in November 2022.
Taylor said the Fort Worth show is always his favorite. It’s the people and the town who make it special.
“Fort Worth is Cowtown for a reason,” Taylor said.
