Homicide detectives investigating death of man found near road in Fort Worth
A man was found dead Thursday in the 7100 block of West Vickery Boulevard in Fort Worth after police received a call about a possible auto-versus-pedestrian crash, according to authorities.
Traffic investigators responding to the scene called for homicide detectives after they couldn’t determine if the man died from a hit-and-run or not based on trauma to the victim’s skull.
Police said the man was found about 30 feet from the street.
The man’s identity will be released after the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office notifies next of kin. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
