The Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade on Friday honored the Buffalo Soliders, the six all-Black peacetime regiments that supported western expansion. The annual parade, hosted by the city of Fort Worth and organized by the Tarrant County Veterans Council, began at Panther Island Pavilion and went along North Forrest Park Boulevard. Maj. Gen. Anthony Woods, commander of the Texas State Guard headquartered at Camp Mabry in Austin, was the grand marshal.
