Another fun way to enjoy Halloween in Fort Worth this weekend is packing up the kids for a day at the zoo.

Boo at the Zoo is back for its 31st year at the Fort Worth Zoo on Friday and Saturday. There will be treat stations, themed entertainment and animal shows. Of course, there are the zoo’s 7,000 resident animals spread across 64 lush acres.

The zoo requires guests to wear costumes that are appropriate for all ages. Adults, 13 and older, cannot wear masks or makeup that cover their faces, and must be identifiable to be allowed entry into the zoo.

The daytime event is included with zoo admission or membership. Tickets are $17 for adults, $13 for children 3-12 and seniors 65 and older. Parking will cost $5.

Trolling for treats

Treat stations scattered around the park will only take treat coupons. General admission or members receive 6 coupons per ticket. Additional coupons can be purchased at $3 per six coupons.

The candy stations are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • One coupon gets you four pieces of premixed candy.

  • Coupons can be redeemed at any treat station around the zoo.

  • If candy is not your thing, look for the non-candy treat station marked on your map.
