Fire at Fort Worth apartment complex damages four units, one with heavy damage

A fire Thursday afternoon in Fort Worth led to four apartments damaged and 15 people displaced, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department.

Crews responded to the fire in the 3300 block of Polo Club Drive North around 1:45 p.m. and the blaze was under control at 2:07 p.m., according to the fire department. The people displaced are receiving assistance from the Red Cross.

A caller reported a possible injury during the primary search, but no injuries, hospitalization or need for medical attention were found. The fire department said one apartment unit was very heavily damaged by the fire and three neighboring units received smoke and water damage.

When they arrived, crews saw heavy fire from a second-floor apartment patio and searched the apartments for any occupants, according to the fire department.
