Here’s how to nominate a special kid for Medstar’s annual Trick or Treat Event

Kids who might not be able to go trick or treating due to medical restrictions will have the chance to on Oct. 29.

For the ninth year, MedStar is taking one or two children out to a special Fort Worth neighborhood for Halloween.

They’ll be picked up at home, brought to a specially selected neighborhood in a decked out MedStar ambulance and escorted on a stretcher with full medical support until their goody bag is full.

Participation Guidelines:

  • The event will be on Oct. 29 between 6 and 9 p.m.
  • Child and parents should live or be temporarily residing in the MedStar service area.
  • Children in a hospital or other medical facility are eligible, and Medstar will coordinate with the facility to determine feasibility.
  • Child should be between 5 and 15 years old.
  • Child and parents should be willing to share their experience with media partners and sign a media release.
  • MedStar will make the final determination of clinical appropriateness for participation.
