Scrapbooking, DIY ideas take center stage at upcoming Pinners conference in Fort Worth
It’s time get your craft on at a Pinterest-inspired conference coming to Fort Worth this weekend.
The Texas Pinners Conference is hosting its fifth annual event at Will Rogers Memorial Center on Friday and Saturday. The two day event is inspired by Pinterest, the social media service used to save and find recipes, craft ideas and home decor designs.
The event is two-fold, one part hosting over 100 hands-on classes on making different craft items, scrapbooking, learning new recipes and trying out DIY ideas. The second part hosting a shopping floor of over 200 local vendors selling handmade crafts from clothing to art.
“Pinners Conference is an annual event we created to inspire creativity and fun,” said Roxanne Bennett, Texas Pinners co-founder. “We combine a trade show shopping environment with Pinterest-inspired classes in hopes of giving women an affordable way to learn something new, tryout new hobbies and have fun with their friends.”
General admission tickets cost $10 and includes entry into the event and show floor, but not for any classes. A one day expo pass and two classes costs $19 and includes entry plus two optional classes to choose from.
The one day expo and all classes package will set you back $29 and includes entry plus access to all classes for that day. A two day expo and all classes pass costs $49, giving you entry to both days and access to classes of your choice.
After purchasing tickets online, you will receive the option to choose what classes you would like to attend. Parking is available at the Will Rogers Memorial Center for around $10 a day, along with street parking around the venue.
The Texas Pinners Conference kicks off Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 3401 W. Lancaster Ave.
