Two men burned in corrugated tin structure fire in north Fort Worth, authorities say
Two men were burned on their faces by a fire at a business that erupted Monday afternoon in north Fort Worth, authorities said.
The fire, in a single-story corrugated tin structure, was reported about 5 p.m. in the 2500 block of NE 36th Street, between Mapleleaf Street and North Sylvania Avenue, said Firefighter Kyle Clay, a Fort Worth Fire Department spokesperson.
According to a sign at the site, the business operating at the building appears to be KenCoat Systems, a company that, according to its website, customizes and manufactures clear coating sealer.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
The burned men were taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Their injuries were minor, a MedStar spokesperson said. A firefighter also suffered a minor injury.
The fire department declared the blaze under control at 5:30 p.m.
The central fire damage was on the NE 36th Street side of the building, Clay said.
