Teen dead after Granbury swimming accident

A teenager died Saturday night after she went swimming at City Beach and disappeared underwater, officials said.

The 18-year-old, who has not been identified, was pulled out of the water and given cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. She was taken to Lake Granbury Medical Center.

Officials received a 911 call about 6 p.m. Saturday from the City Beach area about the woman. City Beach is on the Brazos River.
