Alligator pays a visit to Lake Worth ATM. Video shows he had no intention to leave

A 3-foot alligator paid a visit to a Lake Worth ATM early Wednesday, but authorities managed to get it under control.

The alligator was moved to an another location after visiting with Lake Worth police and game warden with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department

The incident occurred about 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of Telephone Road in Lake Worth.

Lake Worth police were dispatched to a wildlife call at the scene.

A woman who was withdrawing money was startled when she heard a “hissing” sound near the ATM.

When they arrived, Lake Worth officers located an alligator next to the ATM. A game warden arrived and the alligator was subdued.

The alligator was moved to appropriate habitat nearby.

Lake Worth police said as a reminder that residents should not handle wild animals, leave that to professionals.

No animals or officers were hurt during this incident.
