The Fort Worth Police Department wants to get you buzzed next week.
No, not that kind of buzz.
The department and CleanUP USA have partnered together to host a free haircut event Aug. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Anybody is welcome to a fresh haircut at the department’s north division headquarters at 8755 N. Riverside Dr.
CleanUP USA is a Dallas-based nonprofit organization started by Jordan Allsup, giving back to the homeless community however it can. Allsup and crew travel across North Texas in renovated buses, giving the homeless access to free showers, haircuts and other services.
Tuesday’s event is part of the nonprofit’s August outreach, with additional stops planned in Dallas, Arlington and across Fort Worth.
