The Fort Worth Fire Department received more than 4,500 firework complaints over the Fourth of July weekend, according to a report released Thursday.

From July 1-5, the Fire Department received 4,540 complaints. On July 4, there were 2,604.

Fireworks are illegal in Fort Worth. Beginning July 1, residents were able to report fireworks by phone, online and with the “MyFW” app, according to the report.

The 76112 ZIP code in east Fort Worth had the most complaints on July 4 with 218. One address in the 9400 block of Sundial Drive had the most with 26 complaints on July 4. Another on the 3100 block of Jimison Lane had 22, according to the report.

On Monday, Fort Worth’s fireworks show at Panther Island Pavilion was halted when fires burned on the banks along the Trinity River minutes after the display began.

  • District 2 (North Side): 276
  • District 3 (West): 278
  • District 4 (North Side and far north): 311
  • District 5 (East): 400
  • District 6 (Southeast): 424
  • District 7 (Far north and northwest): 421
  • District 8 (Southeast): 367
  • District 9: (South): 180
