A public forum to discuss site locations for the proposed African American Museum and Cultural Center in Fort Worth will be held Thursday.

The City of Fort Worth hosted a multi-day workshop last fall to discuss museum development and operations. The workshop team consisted of nationally recognized museum experts, with fields focused on African American culture and art, according to the Fort Worth Neighborhood Services Department.

On Thursday, a steering committee will present potential sites in the Historic Southside and the Cultural District for community feedback. Fort Worth Neighborhood Services said in a social media post that the steering committee narrowed down the locations using recommendations from the panel of museum experts.

The public forum will start at 6 p.m. at the Como Community Center on 4660 Horne St. Community members who attend can give their feedback on the proposed site location during the forum.
