Still looking for Valentine’s Day flower delivery? Here’s where to order in Fort Worth

Flowers are the quintessential romantic gesture, and the countdown is on to get them in time for Valentine’s Day.

Local florists are preparing thousands of orders for the Valentine’s Day rush. They say people are spending more and ordering earlier this year, which could be because the pandemic is waning and more people are celebrating, or because the winter storm foiled Valentine’s Day plans last year. Some said Valentine’s Day flower delivery will be tougher this year because of the nationwide labor shortage.

Here’s where to buy flowers in the Fort Worth area, what you should get and when you should order them by.

Store manager Cheri Kirkman says their average sale has gone up by $15 from last year. People are ordering bigger arrangements, a dozen and a half to two dozen roses.

She recommends asking a designer to create a personalized bouquet. “We have some of the best designers in Texas. That allows them the creativity to kind of put together something unique for you with the roses and other fresh flowers that we have available, and then you can just pick your price. Whatever you can imagine, we can do it,” Kirkman said.

Usually, customers could order until 11 a.m. on Valentine’s Day. But because there’s not enough delivery drivers, the florist will only be taking orders until Saturday or Sunday. The order should arrive between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Valentine’s Day.

For a bigger arrangement, you can get the heartthrob or cloud nine arrangements with garden roses and foliage. For a cheaper option, get the sweetheart arrangement, with spray roses, tree ferns and ruscus.
