Eastbound I-30 in Fort Worth reopens early Thursday after tractor-trailer became disabled

After shutting down for a few hours late Wednesday into early Thursday morning, eastbound Interstate 30 has reopened in Fort Worth after an accident.

The freeway closed around 11:30 p.m. after a commercial tractor-trailer lost its passenger side rear trailer wheels.

The disabled vehicle had to be removed with the use of two heavy duty wreckers, Fort Worth police said.

“A minor accident occurred when a vehicle struck debris in the roadway,” police added. “The freeway was briefly shut down to allow removal of the tractor and the trailer.”

All lanes fully reopened around 3:45 a.m.
