22 residents displaced after major apartment fire in east Fort Worth
Twenty-two apartment residents were displaced Tuesday morning after a fire erupted at a complex in east Fort Worth, authorities said Tuesday.
One person was treated at the scene and another person was taken to a local hospital for medical reasons, fire officials said.
The fire was reported just before 10:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Homedale Drive in east Fort Worth.
Dozens of firefighters were on the scene battling the blaze at the 1505 Exchange Apartments, according to a fire call log.
It took firefighters about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, fire officials said.
Damage was reported to at least four apartments in one building.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
