Four students at Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth were taken to the hospital Thursday with mild overdose-like symptoms, according to MedStar.

MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said the reason for the symptoms was unknown. The school called for emergency responders around 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

A spokesperson for Fort Worth schools said that because the incident involved minors, they could not comment other than to say they were taking “appropriate action.”

A fire department spokesman said they responded to treat multiple patients but that no other information was available. Police directed questions to the fire department and school district, saying they were taking the lead on any investigations.
