Man identified in fatal Fort Worth train accident

AMansfield man has died after being hit by a train last week, authorities said Sunday.

He was identified as Robert Russell, 51,who died Friday afternoon in a local hospital, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website reported Sunday. He died from trauma to his head and chest.

Russell was hit Monday near the 6100 block of South Z Boaz Park Drive.

Benbrook police alerted Fort Worth police that Russell had been hit by a train. He had been sleeping on the tracks when hit, police said Sunday.
