Watch: Fort Worth police rescue a kitten on Interstate 20 shoulder Friday afternoon

Fort Worth police and animal control staff picked up a kitten found on the shoulder of I-20 near Trail Lake Drive on Friday afternoon.

In a video posted by the Fort Worth Police Department, a white and brown tabby kitten is seen shrinking back near a grate and concrete barrier as police approach it. An animal control staff member then picks up the kitten and secures it in a crate.

On the department’s social media pages, Fort Worth police asked what the male kitten should be named. Replies suggested names varying from “Lucky” to “Freeway.”

The kitten is now in the care of the Chuck Silcox Animal Care & Control Center, according to the department’s post.
