Fort Worth wrong-way crash kills driver on Interstate 20 Thursday night, police say

A person driving a blue Ford F150 pickup truck was killed after driving the wrong direction on Interstate 20 on Thursday night.

The accident occurred around 9 p.m. near 300 W I-20, Fort Worth police said.

The Ford was driving eastbound on the outside shoulder and drove into oncoming traffic.

Another vehicle, a gray Chevrolet 2500, was struck by the Ford in the middle of the highway, police said.

The Ford’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police didn’t provide information about the other driver’s condition or additional details regarding the person who died. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the driver pending notification of the family.
