Two seriously injured in stabbing after man claims they beat him, Fort Worth police say

One man was in critical condition and another was seriously injured early Monday after a third man told Fort Worth police they attacked him and he stabbed them.

The two men who were stabbed were taken to a local hospital.

Detectives are investigating the incident, but police did not release any information on an arrest.

Patrol officers responded to a stabbing call shortly before 3 a.m. in the 2900 block of Travis Avenue.

When they arrived, police found the two men who had been stabbed in an apartment.

Detectives later learned that a man reported the two had beaten him with a blunt object in a vehicle at 4220 Hemphill St.

At some point, the man claimed to have stabbed both of the other men in self-defense. After the stabbing, he called police.

The two injured men returned to an apartment on Travis Avenue, police said.
