Hello Kitty Cafe Truck to make stop in Fort Worth on Saturday

Despite the coronavirus pandemic halting hundreds of events across North Texas, it won’t be putting the brakes on the Hello Kitty Cafe tour.

From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will stop at the The Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth to sell drinks, cookies, cakes and merchandise based on the famous character, according to the Hello Kitty Cafe website.

In the past, hundreds of people have lined up for the truck. Because of the pandemic, this year it will be different. Employees will be wearing masks and gloves. Markers will be placed outside the truck for social distancing and there will be increased sanitation.

According to the event’s Facebook page, about 162 people have said they are going and 606 said they’re interested.

People can expect giant Hello Kitty cookies, macarons, cakes, lunchboxes and T-shirts to be on sale.
