Body in container pulled out of Kentucky lake identified as North Texas woman

A body of a woman inside of a container found floating in a western Kentucky lake has been identified as a Granbury woman, according to news reports.

The body of Traci L. Jones, 41, was located Saturday night in Kentucky Lake, according to WSMV-TV in Nashville.

Officials with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife responded to the scene after receiving a report about 7:30 p.m. Saturday of a body floating on the lake.

A few minutes later, her body was pulled from the lake.

Kentucky State Trooper Adam Jones said a medical examiner identified Jones following an autopsy in Madisonville, Ky., according to WFAA Channel 8.

Kentucky State Police are investigating the case.

No other details have been released by Kentucky authorities.
