Man killed in weekend traffic crash identified as Fort Worth resident
Authorities have identified a man killed in a Friday night traffic accident as Joe Cecphus Thompson Jr.
Thompson, 25, died from injuries he suffered in a two-vehicle wreck in the 2400 block of Vaughn Boulevard in Fort Worth, Fort Worth police said.
Thompson was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:01 p.m. Friday, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Tuesday. A ruling on his death is pending an autopsy.
The crash was reported shortly after 10 p.m. Friday at Vaughn Boulevard and Ada Avenue.
Two vehicles were involved in the wreck, but Fort Worth police did not release any other details.
