Fort Worth police hunt for robber
Investigators are trying to find the carjacker who forced a driver to take him to an ATM to get money early Saturday and then to a convenience store to spend it.
The robber jumped into a vehicle about 5:30 a.m. Saturday, pulled out his gun and demanded money, Fort Worth police said in a Facebook post. The location of the carjacking was not reported.
The robber then told the man to drive to an ATM and withdraw cash, police said. Afterward, the robber had the man drive to a 7-Eleven at South Hulen Street and West Risinger Road where he purchased several items, police said.
Store surveillance cameras recorded a man identified as the robber walking into 7-Eleven, police said.
Anyone with information about this crime or the robber’s identity is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 817-369-8477 or Fort Worth detectives at 817-392-4375.
