DFW temp reaches 90, adding heat to humidity

Last week, everyone was praying for the rain to stop.

With the prayers finally answered, it’s starting to feel more like a normal June in North Texas.

For the first time this year, the temperature reached 90 at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport on Wednesday, tying for the fourth latest date on record that the mercury has climbed to 90 in a calendar year.

For the next week, highs in the 90s are in the forecast with no rain predicted.

Although it may be warm and muggy, we don’t have to worry about 100-degree temperatures, said National Weather Service meteorologist Jason Dunn.

“Not yet anyway,” Dunn said. “The highs should stay right about where we are for the next week or so.”
