North Richland Hills officer shoots at woman during police chase in Hurst, police say

A North Richland Hills officer shot at a woman during a police chase in which the woman tried to ram into a police car in Hurst, police said.

The woman, Trisha Boner, 29, was arrested Wednesday and is facing evading arrest and aggravated assault on a public servant charges, a Hurst Police Department news release said.

At about 3:30 p.m., a Tarrant County Precinct 3 deputy tried to stop a car for a traffic offense and a short chase started, police said in a press release. During the chase, the woman tried to ram into the deputy’s car twice.

North Richland Hills officers saw the car drive past and crash into the AT&T store at 464 Grapevine Highway in Hurst.

Officers tried to arrest the woman and in the attempt, a North Richland Hills officer fired his weapon. The woman then ran away again.

The woman and a blue Hyundai sedan were seen at Wells Fargo at 6300 Precinct Line Road in Hurst, where she appeared to be skimming credit car information from a drive-up ATM, police said.

Boner was taken into custody and taken to Hurst jail. There were no reported injuries.

Hurst police were leading the investigation.

The details of what led up to the officer firing his gun are under investigation, said North Richland Hills public information officer Carissa Katekaru.
