Nude suspect walked out of garage, opened fire at deputies, sheriff says

A nude Parker County man was taken into custody Tuesday night, accused of assaulting a woman and shooting a handgun at deputies, the sheriff said.

No one was wounded in the incident, which occurred in the 100 block of Altee Drive in Parker County.

Authorities identified the suspect as Christopher Earl Elliott, 44, of Parker County.

Deputies with the Parker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic dispute call about 10 p.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived, Elliott was naked and walked out of a garage holding a .22-caliber Derringer, and shooting in random directions, Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said in a Wednesday news release.

The suspect stopped shooting, retreated back into the garage, but he walked back out again and started shooting, Fowler said.

At some point, the suspect walked back into the home and returned to a driveway, holding only a cell phone to his ear.

Deputies then took him into custody.

“We are fortunate that no one was injured as a result of this suspect’s reckless actions,” Fowler said.

Elliott is accused of assaulting a woman and shooting over her head as they stood in the backyard of the home.

He faces two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assaulting a family member and deadly conduct.

Elliott was in the Parker County Jail on Wednesday. Bail had not been set.
