Motorcyclist struck, killed by truck on Weatherford street, police say

A motorcyclist was killed Saturday night in a traffic wreck on a Weatherford street, Weatherford police said.
A motorcyclist was killed Saturday night in a traffic wreck on a Weatherford street, Weatherford police said.

A motorcyclist was killed Saturday night when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a pickup, police said.

The driver of the pickup was not injured.

The victim has been identified as T. Garrett Underwood, 26, of Weatherford, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office website on Sunday. A ruling on his death is pending an autopsy.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11 p.m. Saturday.

Police responded to the major accident call about 10:45 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of S. Main St.

The motorcycle was northbound on the street when the driver lost of the vehicle, veered off into northbound traffic and hit the pickup, police said.

Police have not determined what caused the motorcyclist to lose control of his vehicle.
