Police detectives are looking for a man they say was captured on camera attacking a woman on Sept. 29.

The incident happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Hulen Park Drive S., police said.

The woman was sitting in her vehicle and closing the door when a Hispanic man tried to prevent her from shutting it, police say.

He grabbed each of the woman’s arms and pulled her out of the car in an attempt to steal it, police said. The woman struggled with the man and screamed, which attracted help from several people nearby.

The man, who stands about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds, fled to a car that was waiting nearby and left the scene, police say.

The car is silver and resembles a 2000s model Chevrolet Impala, police say.

Police ask anyone with information on the attack to call 817-392-4323. Callers can remain anonymous.
