It’s been 12 hours but some AT&T internet and cable is still out in North Texas

It’s been 12 hours since a fire at the AT&T facility in Richardson caused internet outages across Texas and some customers are still without internet and/or cable.
The AT&T building was struck by lightning during a storm just before 10 a.m. and fire crews left at around 12:15 p.m.
No one was injured, and the fire was contained to an electrical room, but the outage had thousands in North Texas begging to be released from their boredom.
Others who wrote about the outage on Twitter had more serious concerns. Several people sent tweets to the company that said they were business owners who relied on AT&T to function.
At 9 p.m., customers were still reporting outages and it was unclear when the issue would be completely resolved. AT&T said to customers on Twitter that they didn’t have an ETA.
“However we’re working hard to fix it,” the company tweeted.
Some customers who have internet and cable said at around 9:30 p.m. that their internet was working, but their cable wasn’t. At around 9:40 p.m., sporadic customers began to report that their internet service returned, but that their phones were still offline.
Down Detector, which tracks online companies whose services are experiencing interruptions, had a dramatic increase of reports just before 11 a.m. going from about 30 reports of an outage to more than 1,300.
In a live outage map, a giant red bubble hovered over North Texas, specifically the DFW region.
