Fort Worth resident claims $2.5 million Texas lottery prize
There’s a new millionaire in town.
We just don’t know who it is.
A Fort Worth resident cashed in an Instant Millionaire scratch off ticket and walked away with a $2.5 million jackpot.
And the winner chose to remain anonymous.
He or she bought the $20 ticket at McCart Food Mart, 5617 McCart Ave., in Fort Worth, according to the Texas Lottery.
The overall odds of winning on this ticket is 3 in 20.
This was the third of 10 top $2.5 million prizes claimed through this scratch off game.
A new state law went into effect last year that allows Texans who claim lottery prizes worth $1 million or more to prevent any personal information from being released to the public.
The first Texas Lottery tickets were sold in 1992.
