A Waco man is killed by Waste Management truck as he tried to cross north freeway

Authorities are still investigating the death of a Waco man who was killed while walking across a Fort Worth higway on Tuesday.

Robert Graves was hit by a Waste Management truck after he left his vehicle and attempted to walk across the 6000 block of the North Freeway about 6 p.m., police stated.

Graves, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene about 6:35 p.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.

The truck driver remained on scene and no charges have been filed against him, police said.
