Grandson stabbed his grandfather and assaulted his mom, police say
Police arrested 25-year-old Andrew Khoa Vu Thursday night in connection with the killing of his grandfather, 73-year-old Anh Pham.
Fort Worth police responded to a stabbing call Thursday just after 7 p.m. along the 3400 block of Roddy Drive in south Fort Worth and arrested 25-year-old Andrew Khoa Vu, who faces a murder charge, according to Tarrant County Jail records.
The call came from the Meadowcreek neighborhood, just a block east of McCart Avenue and south of Sycamore School Rd.
Vu had "some type of episode" before stabbing Pham and assaulting Vu's mother, said officer Daniel Segura, a department spokesman.
Pham was pronounced dead at the scene, while Vu, who had minor injuries, and his mother, who sustained serious injuries, were taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth just before 7:30 p.m.
WFAA, the Star-Telegram's media partner, reported that the mother is expected to make a full recovery.
