One dead, two teens wounded in Garland shooting
A 22-year-old man was shot to death in a home early Monday and two teens suffered gunshot wounds in a case that remains under investigation, police said.
The identity of the victim had not been released as authorities sought to notify relatives.
A 13-year-old boy was being treated at a Dallas hospital and a 15-year-old was at a Plano hospital, police said.
Officers responded to a shooting call about 3:30 a.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Mosswood Court.
While they were responding to the call, officers received information that a red car was involved in the shooting. A patrol officer observed a car that matched that description driving without headlights on at high speed on West Walnut Street.
Officers stopped the car which had four occupants. One of the occupants was the 13-year-old boy who was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Garland and then taken to the Dallas hospital.
Police arrived at the residence on Mosswood Court and found the 22-year-old man and the 15-year-old boy with gunshot wounds. The man was taken to the Plano hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The 15-year-old boy was in stable condition.
An investigation into the shooting continued Monday.
