Fort Worth police searching for dangerous female robber accused of shooting clerk
Police appealed for help Monday to identify a young female robber accused of robbing two convenience stores at gunpoint last week, shooting a clerk in one holdup.
On Monday, detectives released surveillance photographs of the suspect who police described as armed and dangerous following the two holdups early Thursday on Miller Avenue.
Police also released a photo of an accomplice in the holdups, a male suspect.
Authorities released the photos in hopes that someone would recognize the suspects.
The robbery spree began about 1:22 a.m. Thursday at Parks Foodmart, 4703 Miller Avenue, when the female suspect who was wearing a blue jacket and a bonnie hat approached the drive-thru window and fired, wounding a 19-year-old clerk. She covered part of her face.
Minutes later, detectives believe the same suspect walked into Miller Grocery & Grill HG Foods, 2200 Miller Avenue, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from a cash register. No injuries were reported in this this holdup.
Witnesses described the female robber as about 16 to 21-years-old, about 5-foot to 5-foot-4 and weighs about 115 to 135 pounds.
Police noted that she has been "very aggressive" in the holdups.
