Suit up the kids and grab the candy! Halloween is on.
The unpredictable Texas weather apparently had one last trick up its sleeve for Halloween.
Forecasters now say fast-moving showers that made for a damp Tuesday should depart Tarrant County just in time for kids - and their parents - to hit the streets.
“It looks like the rain will end in time for trick or treating,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Jesse Moore. “Most of the rain, especially in Tarrant County, should be over by sunset.”
That’s not true for areas to the south and east of the Metroplex where showers will linger into the evening.
While it has been a gloomy Tuesday, the rainfall totals have been light with most places seeing only about a tenth of an inch.
Once the precipitation ends, expect a dramatic warmup.
It will be near 80 on Wednesday. On Thursday, forecasters are calling for a record-breaking 91 degree high, which would break the old Nov. 2 record of 87 set in 2012.
