If you heard explosions near downtown Fort Worth today, here’s why
Explosions north of downtown Fort Worth on Wednesday morning were from an Army training exercise, police said.
The blasts were happening in the area of the former Police Department training academy off Jacksboro Highway just north of the Trinity River.
Police and sheriff officials were aware of the training and responding to calls about the explosions.
Some Twitter users reported seeing smoke and that the blasts shook their building.
We all felt our building shake and saw a cloud of smoke just north of downtown. Any idea what this was from?
