Man’s body found on railroad tracks in north Fort Worth
A man whose body was found on BNSF Railway tracks in north Fort Worth early Friday was probably hit by a train, police said.
The man was identified as James Smith, 30, by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office. The online log did not give his address. The cause and manner of this death had not been posted Friday evening.
A train employee called police to report seeing a body on the tracks. Officers found the body about 3 a.m. near the 3100 block of Saginaw Boulevard.
Investigators believe the man was hit by a southbound BNSF train a few hours earlier. An employee of that train had reported a possible obstacle on the tracks. — Domingo Ramirez Jr.
