Police appealed for help Thursday finding a motorist who fled the scene of an Aug. 20 fatal accident on Trinity Boulevard.

Two other vehicles were at the intersection and the drivers witnessed the incident, but did not report it, police said.

The victim was identified as Shakuntala Acharya, who died at John Peter Smith Hospital shortly after she was hit, according to the Tarrant County website on Thursday.

Acharya, of Euless, was hit about 9:15 p.m. at 13100 Trinity Boulevard and 3800 S. Main Street, police said.

Police said the vehicle that hit Acharya was a white, four-door Chevrolet or GMC pickup.

Anyone with information should call police at 817-392-4885.
