Labor Day: What’s open, closed and trash collection
What's closed
All nonessential federal, state, county and municipal offices and school districts will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day. Mail will not be delivered, and banks and the stock market will be closed.
What's open
In most cities, water parks, swimming pools, golf courses and tennis centers will be open.
Also open: Fort Worth Botanic Garden and its Japanese Garden, Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, and the Fort Worth Zoo.
Public transportation
The Trinity Railway Express will not run. T buses and the Mobility Impaired Transportation Service will operate on a Sunday schedule. Molly the Trolley will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Details: www.fwta.org
Garbage, recycling
Pickup as usual: Bedford, Burleson, Colleyville, Euless, Fort Worth, Grapevine, Haltom City, Hurst, Keller, Saginaw and Watauga.
No service: Arlington (collections on next regularly scheduled day), Lake Worth, Mansfield (garbage makeup day will be Thursday), North Richland Hills (Monday collections shift to Tuesday, Tuesday to Wednesday), Southlake (Monday collections shift to Tuesday, Tuesday to Wednesday).
