Montgomery Plaza tea house offers discounts during weekend “Harvey Party”
While search-and-rescue efforts are underway along the Texas Gulf Coast and torrential rains flood Southeast Texas, they’re having a “Harvey Party” at Tea2Go in Montgomery Plaza.
Apparently, the natural disaster was occasion enough for the Fort Worth location to offer $1 off boba teas and frappes, or 50 cents off “tea bar” service all weekend for those who have opted in to receiving text messages from the Tea2Go Fort Worth location.
Though Harvey was downgraded to a tropical storm early Saturday afternoon, “catastrophic” flooding was expected in wide swaths of Southeast Texas for most of the next week, according to the National Weather Service.
The Austin-American Statesman reported Saturday that one person had been confirmed dead in Rockport as a result of being trapped inside a home that had caught fire in that coastal town.
The financial toll of the storm was expected to reach billions of dollars, but by all means, have that discounted tea. All you have to do is mention “Hurricane.”
