Fort Worth convict is on list of Texas’ most-wanted sex offenders

An armed and dangerous convict from Fort Worth with a neck tattoo that says “Lord Knows I Tried” was placed on the list of Texas’ 10 most- wanted sex offenders Wednesday.

The Texas Department of Public Safety offered a $5,000 reward for the arrest of 29-year-old Floyd Montrel Moore, who has lived in the 3900 block of Fitzhugh Avenue.

Moore, who has been in prison multiple times, is wanted by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department and Fort Worth police on suspicion of aggravated assault/serious bodily injury and a sex offender registration violation, according to DPS officials.

Moore also has ties to Arlington and Denton.

He has been convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child for cases involving a 3-year-old girl and a 5-year-old girl, according to DPS records.

He has also been convicted of aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft and hindering apprehension of a known felon, records show.

Moore was released from prison in December 2012 after serving time for aggravated robbery. He last registered as a sex offender in August 2013.

Warrants for the Tarrant County incidents were issued in May and December.

Moore, who has been known to work as a laborer, is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 185 pounds. He has several tattoos, including musical notes on his lower right arm, a Polo logo on the left side of his chest, the tattoo on the right side of his neck, and others on his hands, upper right arm and lower right leg. The left side of his face is discolored.

DPS officials described Moore as armed and dangerous.
